The Space for Expatriates

I am thinking of retiring in Progresso...Have found a house but need to sell here in the States first..

Are there many Ex-pats and hearing impaired people in that area? My husband is deaf, but will be happy, just to sit on the beach and fish.

By now you have probably moved to Progresso but since I just joined this site I thought i would comment anyway.  "Preogresso has a large "snow bird" community and it appears fewer year round expats.  While I do not live there I have gone several times from my home on Ilsa Mujeres to visit friends there.  There is a place there called Progresso Pasta that hosts many events that are poplular with expats.  If you have not connected with them yet, you should.  They are closed for the summer but will re-open in November and besides the great food, you can always find expats to connect with.

Bob you are the sweetest man!   I can't wait to try Progresso Pasta next time I get up that direction!  I hope to see you there! ;)
