Hi Thomas,

Had hoped to see you at the AMPI GDL FORO. It was the biggest and the best, ever. Over 600 attended. Jalisco is moving ahead with a real estate licensing law. They will join other states where the law is already in force. Meanwhile AMPI President Adan Larracilla has  had had several meetings with the National government. The last was August 5.

Ciao,

John

Chapala is delightful but getting there is becoming more of a nightmare all the time.  The heavy truck traffic down the highway from Tlaquepaque clogs up just above Chapala and gets bumper to bumper through Ajijic and Jocotepec.  They ought to build an expressway that bypasses the area.  There is plenty of land in the mountain area that rims the lake basin.

I absolutely LOVE the Chapala area weather!  It's the best I've had in my whole life (over 6 decades) and the Mexican people are amazing... sweet, caring, family oriented, kind-hearted and a joy to be around. :)  It's a lovely place to retire, honestly!

I hope the Lake Chapala area has the BEST weather since it is number 1 on my list of places to live! It appears June, July & August are the rainy season, Which is probably why the area has such fabulous greenery and flowers.

Tom, thank you for the invite to La Ribera Chapala. I have visited Chapala before and found it to be a wonderful spot in Mexico. I spend most of the winter months in Puerto Vallarta running Puerto Vallarta Condo Rentals I plan on doing a little more traveling this year and can not wait to get back to Lake Chapala.
I would like to invite the members of "La Ribera Chapala" that if they would like to get away to the beaches of Puerto Vallarta for a weekend or longer to look me up. I have 1 and 2 bedroom condo for as low as $50.00 a night.
You can email me at condo@internetpv.com
