My wife had plastic surgery in Mexicali.  In the same hospital (Almater) I had weight loss gastric sleeve surgery about a year or two earlier.  The hospital we went to was  better than any  we ever went to in the US. The care there was outstanding as were the doctors.  And of course the cost of the hospital and doctors were approximately 1/2 what we would pay in the USA

We have both gone to Dentists in Cabo San Lucas for about 4 years with outstanding skills and of course at fees significantly lower than US dentists.

Though there are problem doctors and hospitals in Mexico, if you are careful and investigate first, you cannot do better. Don

About cost... I have a dentist in Uruapan, dermatologist in BOTH La Paz and Uruapan and an internal specialist in La Paz. I go to a private hospital and if anything major to IMSS. ( my family doctror makes sure I am well taken care of.)
When I receive the bills, I marvel at how low they are compared to what I would pay in Canada. PLUS the Canadian health care sytem was ONCE a model. But, now the wheels have fallen off.

Mexico hospitals among the popular destinations for cosmetic surgery, dental services and surgery as well as general plastic surgery.

Hospitals and medical centres have become popular lately for obesity treatments. This is an elective procedure which is not covered by some US insurers.

Popular treatment sought by medical tourists for example Mexico bariatric surgery savings up to 60-75%.
