I agree Mercy, the individual that made that comment probably is not aware that their US insurance does not cover them here and everyone must get Mexico insurance. If you are in an accident with out insurance you will be in jail until you cover the costs related to the accident so insurance is a must.

For those of you not familiar with Puerto Penasco - it is also known as Rocky Point! I loved the video cause I recognized lots of the people talking on the video. Penasco is really a unique place - it is only one hr. from the US border (Lukeville) and two hrs. either to Phoenix or Tucson.

The comment about not buying car insurance is not correct. You need to buy Mx. insurance when you drive in Mexico - your US insurance is not valid in Mexico.

If you are not familiar with the SEA OF CORTEZ..You should check out Penasco - the amount of shells on the beaches - especially out toward the Mayan are incredible!!

On December 7, 2009, we had quite the windstorm pick up in our little town of San Felipe. Sand was blown about for a few hours, and sharp gusts blew through the bay.

Hola Velia, I was happy to see your note regarding Señor Buchsbaum. Can you give me an idea how big his shop is? I just want to know if I'd have to wait or if I'd need an appointment. I'm restoring an older car and I want quality. Jim
