Love both sides of the Baja peninsula and in November will begin splitting my time between San Felipe and Rosarito---any suggestions about fun places to check out, I'm open!  Love to dance, so if you know of any good places to kick up the heels, would love to know them!

We love the Jr.'s seafood restaurant just south of Rosarito on the west side of the free road. It's kind of a hole in the wall (street noise comes in), but it has a nice menu and the soup (doesn't cost much at all) could be two meals and is my favorite item. Plenty of parking. Nice staff. I jotted down the name as Popotla Jr's, but online I've seen Tacos Jr. And Tijuana Jr listed in roughly the same location and having great seafood. My esposa says it's Marisco Jr's. Well, so look for the sign above the place with Jr. on it.

I just discovered Mexico My Space and now that we will be moving into our remodeled home next week...we look forward to being active in the Rosarito Group.

I thought I would add our FAVORITE relaxing restaurant place, as we just love SPLASH. It is located about four miles south of Puerto Nuevo at KM 52 on the free road and just across from the Medio Camino Exit of the pay road to Ensenada.

Other than great view of the crashing Splashing waves, right below the windows, this popular watering hole has to be the friendliness place I have ever been in. Like the TV Cheers, everyone from the owners Nicolas and Agapo Santos to the many fun expats that frequent the place, EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME.  As well as great food and drinks, they have six TV screens for sports in the bar and live music six nights a week. They are even trying some live music on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30. (Baja News Dec 6th Edition, page 4 & 11).

If you save your Baja Breeze magazines, they did a great two page write up on Splash in this year’s July-August edition.

Check it out, and say hi, if you see me there...and we can learn your name too. But, get there early, as the happy hours do fill the parking lot most days.

A few months later but very welcome .... Lots of unusual cold weather in Miami. Today I finally received a letter from the Court and soon a date will be set and hopefully I'll be able to see my daughters. I am just about to start another job, this is an extra job. By the end of the month I'll have 2 jobs and working 72 hours a week! Sounds like a lot of hours but I'll take it a week at a time. Today I went to see my old accountant and told me that last year's return was not filled properly and I will be contacted by the IRS ... oh well.

Wow comments since my birthday. Probably there's nothing important to share. Maybe people are too busy. Hmmm ...

Hello All! I am a 50-yr young single woman exploring all the possibilities for when I retire ... could be VERY soon, if all works out. I am looking forward to making new friends here and learning from all of your journeys.

Hi Everyone,
Every year around this time the city of Ensenada celebrates the day that Juan R Cabrillo
discovered Ensenada. In the past years the cermony had always been at the Cabrillo Monument on Bucaneros. Very impressive with the Navy band, dignataries from the US and Mexico and the raising of flags from th U.S. Portugal, Mexico and Spain.
This year on Thursday the 17th at 10:00 a.m. on Blvd Costero in the new beach area, the city has planned something a little different. there will be a reenactment of the landing of Juan R Cabrillo on the land and the raising of flags. Thier hope is that this will grow into something similar to the fiesta at the Cabrillo monument in Point Loma.
If you aren't doing anything on Thursday, come out and watch. Should be interesting, and who knows you might get your picture in the paper.
