A question from a newbie:

My husband and I plan to retire to Mexico in less than two years (maybe sooner if things go our way.) Is it possible to find a nice rental in SMA for $400/mo.? We would be apt to pay for either six/twelve months at once. Do landlords do discounts for long term renters?

Gracias all, and Buenas Tardes from Las Vegas, NV.

We have utilized the same home maker for more than twenty years. She works for us now Tues, Thur, Sat. and needs another home to keep clean and spotless. Call for Nancy or Owen at 415 152 4606 and we will arrange to meet you.

Just returned from our vacation in San Miguel. we met Wendy Moyer and her husband Paul.
Wendy marched us up hill and down, and wore me out, but I have managed to live and tell the tale.
I bought a pair of San Miguel sandals and wore them the entire time i was in SMA and Guadalajara.
We were honored to be guests in Wendy and Paul's home. It is a lovely, modern home built of poured mud...doesn't look like mud, you have to see it to understand.
It is thoughtfully designed, and uses green principles throughout.
Wendy's fiber arts are stunning, I was impressed and humbled by her work.
We enjoyed our visit to SMA, and Wendy's suggestions on where to go and where to eat were invaluable.

Muy bien, so no one there to wish back?
Is it very hot in San Miguel?...I am longing for some hot weather..
and if as hot as SMA, I would need a pool by my side.
I love swimming, problem is now that I got used to having hot springs...!!!
All pools are cold and the clorox its difficult..
We are so lucky with the springs..wow..

Bueno, buenas noches..stop by, say hello...

Funny coincidence that you ask about the shoes. I am just about to add a page to my website about San Miguel Shoes -- the "cocktail combat sandals" They are wonderful. Pretty and comfortable, too, and I have terrible feet (almost impossible to find shoes that don't hurt) so this is a true miracle for me.

I should have the page up tonight, but when you get to SMA, you'll see them in several stores. The best is on Reloj, first block, midway, on the right going downhill from the Jardin. Dona Martha, whose husband invented the shoes (for her and with her ideas) is almost always there, perfectly made up and coiffed and usually wearing a big hat, smiling and saying "Que linda!" to everyone and everything. She's a true piece of SMA.

Si Susan..they are very used down here..and they are pretty, a little bit of hills, two strips, on in the front (toes) and the other around the ankle..many, many colors, bright, pale, stc...the strips are made out of elastic so they adapt to your feet.
well thought..
Nos vemos pronto..
S.
