I have an M.A. in Social Anthropology from Toronto's York University, and a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. I co-own with my wife Arlene Casa Machaya Oaxaca Bed & Breakfast (http://www.casamachaya.com) and with Chef Pilar Cabrera Oaxaca Culinary Tours (http://www.oaxacaculinarytours.com). I am a mezcal and pulque aficionado (some say expert) and have a further website, http://www.oaxaca-mezcal.com where I try to collate English language writings about these two alcoholic beverages. I provide general, culinary and mezcal tours to visitors to Oaxaca, fully personalized. I am the Oaxaca Destination Expert for http://www.tripadvisor.com. I regularly consult to documentary film companies working in Oaxaca. I have been on contract to the Mexican Government, writing to promote investment and tourism in Mexico.
