Hola - I am interested in purchasing property in Ajijic, Lake Chapala region. Just returned from Loreto where my brother now lives. Happy Thanksgiving. Thinking about a trip for Christmas to explore properties. Barbarito

how long have you lived in Ajijic? I am building a gated community in West Ajijic off of Villa Lucerna called Vista Hermosa. This is our first high season on the market. Please take a look at it when you can.

There's a lot of talk about Health Care reform in the US & lower Medical costs in Mexico. We would like to hear from our Members on their experiences with Medical Care in Mexico. Recommend Doctors, Clinics & Hospitals if you wish.

The Wright Team
“Experience You Can Trust”

Don & Linda have always worked as a team- at work, at home and at play.

Searching for our “Place in the Sun” began with the purchase of a promising piece of desert in Arizona, (bought while in Rome) while we were spending a joyful 4 ½ months touring Europe a year after we married. (Unlike most deals today, there was a one year money back guarantee – we took it- and learned a lot.)

It was an easy decision to buy our home in the Ajijic/Chapala in 1996 after investigating and comparing many retirement havens over the years.

We combine our corporate and medical experience, plus many years of sales, marketing and customer service and our love of people to introduce visitors to the many pleasures of Lakeside Living.

Retirement- What Will You Do ??

In the Ajijic - Chapala Area- Your options are almost endless –
very much because of the :

The Lake Chapala Society

There are many questions to ask in planning ones retirement. Location seems to be one that consumes much of the press- sun, surf, sand, weather and cost of living. The question that we always suggest clients ask themselves before relocating and retiring is “consider what you want to do in your retirement”.

The above factors are definitely part

Ajijic, Mexico-An Evening at the Opera, and more….

Jalisco- Cultural Exchange Month-June, 2009

An annual event, with 2009 being an exchange featuring Japan, There are many events- some free, others reasonable. We decided to incorporate our night at the Opera into a mini holiday- a light lunch at Talento a superb Thai restaurant.

The Opera (Madame Butterfly) starred marvelous and beautiful Russian Soprano Svetlana Ignatovich. Conducting the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra was Johannes Wildner from Austria touted as on… Continue

Thanks Don and Linda! I have a video on health care coming out in a day or two. I'm glad you enjoyed the other videos. They're a labor of love and Steve Miller did a great job on the TallBoys video--especially Somewhere in Mexico.

I agree, the people from Ajijic and Chapala do seem under-represented, especially since we have the largest expat community outside of the U.S. and Canada. It's still a best kept secret. :)

Will you be at La Tasca on Friday when the TallBoys play? Maybe I'll see you there?

Thanks for the add Don & Linda!! Yeah Sherwood Park is a great place to raise kids but the older I get (and my kids get) the more I want to get out of Canadian winters...lol. Youngest daughter is just going into Grade 11 and I am starting to work on transitioning my sons into my businesses so that I can "get outta Dodge".......haven't been to the Chalapa area......can you tell me more about it when you get a second?

Way to go, Don & Linda. I looked at Lake Chapala before deciding on Rosarito Beach because of the proximity to the border for my Medicare and Tri-care. Peter Fowler, author, Good Info for Gringos Living in Baja (Part I applies to all of Mexico). www.info4gringos-baja.com

Don & Linda, I do hope you're enjoying your short vacation. I was going to tell you to get in touch with Harold Goakey but he beat me to the punchline or something like that.

He has a great website and I think he would be a great resource for you or any Realtors anywhere in Mexico.
