- It's not a typical thing any agents are doing down here. It is from my prior sales business that I learned several facets of direct marketing that I am starting to implement in my business. I was going to offer a class for it a couple years ago, but figured if I ever had my own business, it wouldn't be for sale then, I'd just use the techniques myself. Besides no one had money to take the clases, then I becae a broker for a few onths with another franchise, and now that i have a business partner, I am teaching her the "direct" approach while we implement it. When I moved here it was upposed to be simple and sales and money were flowing, but dried up when I got here in 2006, now I have to put my skills to use, skills that the other agents in town don't have, for the most part, the ones that were here, all they had to do was take orders, then write up contracts and they made lots of money. I missed the boat on that one! Now im using my skills..just when I thought I;d be on vacation!
