- I run a contract recruiting firm in Philly. My wife and I are considering retiring in Mexico in about 5 years. We have visited San Miguel de Allende several times and we have relatives who live there. But, we were both raised by the sea (Karen in Tampa and me in Ocean City, NJ) and we live in a marina on the Delaware River now, so we want to explore Zihua and some other coastel places.

Medical Experience
I came to Mexico in February 2009 after my Dentist in Philadelphia told me I would need six dental implants and six extractions and that the cost would be approximately $34,000. As it happened, two relatives who live in San Miguel de Allende were having implants done there at a cost of $600 per implant. I decided to visit their dentist who, after examining me and taking her own x-rays, told me I did not implants at all! Total cost for the exam - $25.00; for the x-rays - $15.00.
