I have told this story before so if you have heard it, just ignore. Two years ago, my Dentist in Philadelphia prescribed some major dental work which would include six extractions and six implants. The cost she projected would be about $34,000. Fr...

Hi Gloria, I don't know too much about Mexico's festivals (planned or otherwise). When I was in Puerto Escondido (PE), I saw quite a few ad hoc festivals that appear to be part of cultural associations or school-led. The festival photo that you r...

Dear Ray: Thank you for sending me the websites for Zihuatenejo. I will check them out later today. I did notice though in looking at your profile, that you had also considered and visited Puerto Escondido. I was considering going to Puerto Escond...

Hi Gloria, I'm planning to retire to Zihuatanejo in mid-2011. I've been there several times. Hope to travel there in December. Absolutely love it! I haven't seen too many classified ads touting Zihuatanejo rentals (including Mexico-My Space). Bu...

Great photo. Not sure where you took it. I was at Hotel Sotovento in June. As you may know it is being developed by a Canadian group. It will be condominiums. John K. Glaab, CIPS

I run a contract recruiting firm in Philly. My wife and I are considering retiring in Mexico in about 5 years. We have visited San Miguel de Allende several times and we have relatives who live there. But, we were both raised by the sea (Karen in Tampa and me in Ocean City, NJ) and we live in a marina on the Delaware River now, so we want to explore Zihua and some other coastel places.
Do you have any websites for your business or websites you wouldlike to refer someone to?

Medical Experience

I came to Mexico in February 2009 after my Dentist in Philadelphia told me I would need six dental implants and six extractions and that the cost would be approximately $34,000. As it happened, two relatives who live in San Miguel de Allende were having implants done there at a cost of $600 per implant. I decided to visit their dentist who, after examining me and taking her own x-rays, told me I did not implants at all! Total cost for the exam - $25.00; for the x-rays - $15.00. When I returned t… Continue

Hi Fred,
You should look into Baja, especially Cabo. We've got the weather, not one but TWO oceans, and the amenities most retirees want. I'm sure I've blogged about it, but if not just send me a message.
Welcome, you're going to enjoy this site,
Carol

Hi,
Morelia is in Michoacan. If you look on a map and look south of Irapuato about 75 miles, you should see it. By the way, are you accustomed to using Google maps? A really great resource for finding places all over the world. If you haven't already, give it a whirl... you'll love it!
