I am semi-retired. I am a writer of novels, screenplays, short stories, and poetry. I am a memeber of the Baja Writers Workshop and founder of the Writers Study Group. My novel The Baja Blues wil be published in July and my poetry will be featured in the upcoming Poetry from the Baja Writers Workshop, also to be published this summer. I like to tell jokes and cook.
I have three ex-wives, all of whom are "missing". They took the dog for a walk and never came back. I am concerned about the dogs. i am currently looking for my future 4th exwife. Must like dogs.

The Little Shopkeepers

The Little Shopkeepers

The tourists aren't coming and the little shopkeepers suffer. Mexico has many problems which cast a shadow on what were formerly happy times here. Spring Break was once a bustling time in Rosarito. The summers were generally good times for lots of tourists to visit. One of my favorite shops recently closed; a place where I used to buy cigars and chat with the owner. These are good people. The vast majority of Mexicans are good honest hard-working people who welcome visito… Continue

Hi Joey ... I really do have 8 dogs which were formerly homeless street pups. It is hot, hot, hot in San Felipe, but it feels great. We have a bit of an overcast this afternoon, but warm Santa Ana winds. Like most of Baja, our tourism is down. So, you are a writer. I fancy myself a writer also. Take care buddy. Kat

Well Wednesday is a busy day for me. i have a mail service, so i go to the states and sweep boxes and deliver next day.
i leave home about 7am. get to the border about 9 to 9:30, have most of my mail done done by 2pm, if I don't have shoppin, airport drop or pickups.
Normally cross the border about 3-5pm.
So you see i can't do lunch.
I can meet you for coffee, either before I get to the states, or can meet with you later when i return.
Again, I can't place a time on the return. It will need to be when i don't have a rider.
Next week on the 27th, looks like i will be alone going up. So perhaps coffee in the morning or maybe even breakfast would be good. I have a rider on the return.
Want to do the 27th for breakfast? I should be in Rosarito about 8:30 or so.
Is that too early for you? If not, where should I meet you?

We have a show at the Gertrude Pearlman Theatre this coming weekend. 7pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Perhaps you can come see the show "Working" and we can meet then. If that's tough for you, I go to the states every Wednesday and go thru Rosarito. I could stop either in or out if I'm alone.

I don't know about the teen part for a play. We seem to be a retirement community and not too many youths come our way. of course we have the school, and even if i direct I'm not fluent in Spanish to ge these kids together.
Can we read it anyway?
About the western, that sounds more promising. Why wold it need to be part outdoors? Can't we stage this for the theatre? Is it a play too? Can i read that one also?

I love dogs infact have 2 part lobo's here in Rosarito my husband who lives in ensenada also has 2 part lobos. These dogs would definitely come back if taken out for a walk. I'm not looking for any husband. I too like to write but mostly for my own enjoyment when the mood takes me. I also dabble at painting and graphic design and photo editing. This bird lives in my palm tree here in Rosarito. He is my weathr forcaster. When it is gloomy he disappears when it is going to be nice he reappears his name is Henry.
