I would just buy an "amigo kit" from Telcel or Movistar - they are inexpensive and THEN you can buy an International PHONE CARD at Walmart where you then can call up to the USA cheap just using your local minutes - I think I got 300 or 400 min. for…
Hi Judy, I don't know if you want to know what service to use if you live in Mexico or if you are just visiting, but, we use AT&T. We just let them know 4 or 5 days before we leave to visit Mexico and they put us on international calling. This elimi…

There's a lot of talk about Health Care reform in the US & lower Medical costs in Mexico. We would like to hear from our Members on their experiences with Medical Care in Mexico. Recommend Doctors, Clinics & Hospitals if you wish.
Hi, Judy. I've never been on Myspace -- struggling with how to Twitter but can't seem to get the hang. Age takes its toll. We are waiting for the deed to our land and hopefully the house will sell this fall so I can get to building. Anyone out there know someone who wants a really nice house on the desert in Ajo, Arizona? Pretty reasonable there in all ways; not Phoenix!! Get back, Judy -- how's the pooch? Looking forward to seeing you in January. Hi to Mitzi -- WOW, what a family! And to Mike and Joan -- where abouts do you live/stay in Alamos?
Hi Judy, Nice to hear from you. I would love to visit with you. Actually, my husband (Stephen) and I are going next week for 10 days. We are flying to MC and staying for two days then on to Oaxaca for the rest of the time. We are interviewing with a mission group that is run be an indigenous leader and hoping to return for six months a year until we can't walk anymore. The group, Armonia, works in three areas: Mexico City (I hate big cities), Oaxaca-there is a high school for indigenous kids from the hills and a hill country settlement. I am not sure what would be the best fit. Maybe we will decide it is not what we are interested in after this visit. We last went to Melaque on the Pacific Coast side for the month of August 2008. I loved it. We are really looking for a place that we can be of service to the residents, a part of the community and enjoy ourselves. But, the plan is 6 months and 1 day of the year. We have 8 children and 17 grandchildren (many local) here.
How do you get away from your business? Mitzi

Thanks for posting, and you're absolutely right about Ceneval (the exam discussed in the original blog) needing to take us into consideration and also about the lack of training. I wish we had a mandatory exam, which would go something like this...Q…
