Kathleen Carroll had been vacationing in San Miguel de Allende since 1997 before deciding to semi retire there in 2004. However, after more than 18 years of senior management experience in marketing and sales with technology companies such as Sybase, Siebel and several start-ups, she decided early retirement was not for her. The experience of remodeling, constructing and staging three homes of her own in San Miguel and four in California were all the impetus she needed to jump into selling real estate in San Miguel. Of course, with all her background in marketing, she had to go to the company with the brightest and best marketing minds in the business--Select Real Estate.
After remodeling and decorating six older homes, including two in San Miguel's historical district ("El Centro"), Kathleen has developed a skill for visualizing how a home would look with updates. "When I show older homes to my buyers, I use my experience to see the possibilities. I know what will add value to a home and what will work for my customers' budget."
Kathleen is dedicated to making the buying and selling experience in San Miguel enjoyable and stress-free for her clients. She takes the time to listen to her clients' needs so they can accomplish their goals. Kathleen is often praised as someone who can step into the buyer's shoes, their situation, and most importantly, their vision. Kathleen believes in communicating often and completely with her clients. Share your dreams with Kathleen today and prepare to live them tomorrow!
Kathleen serves both the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking communities and is constantly working to improve her fluency in Spanish.
Selling a house? Selling a home quickly in today's market can be tough. Did you know that properly staged homes sell faster? Recent statistics prove that professionally staged occupied homes sold 46% faster in 2007, and 89% faster in 2008. Staged vacant homes previously on the market sold 68% faster in 2007 and 85% in 2008.
Home staging (also known as real estate enhancement) is the process of making a house attractive to potential buyers. Unlike interior decorating, home staging is about neutralizing décor and removing a client's identity from a home, so that it appeals to buyers of all tastes and preferences. In addition to helping people buy and sell homes, Kathleen offers her expertise as a home staging consultant, giving people ideas to help them stage their home, or providing hands-on home staging services. Contact her for more information.
On a personal note: I am passionate about where I live and what I do. This place is incredibly beautiful, and I love the authentic colonial architecture and the hilly, cobblestone streets. San Miguel rivals some of the most charming cities in Europe. I feel so lucky to live here and to help others find their dream home and settle into the beautiful life here.
Do you have any websites for your business or websites you wouldlike to refer someone to?

Nice meeting you and seeing you on MySpace too. My home is now on the market in Seattle as of 4/26. Lots of interest but no sale yet. Fingers crossed. Wished I had sold it a bit earlier (although market sl improved now too with spring) as now it is not staged much....Joey
