My husband and I retired here to remodel, repair and restore our little casa. We moved with 2 cranky cats all the way from the Pacific Northwest..........try that sometime!
When I am not busy helping Senor (Bill) work on the casa, I work with glass, firing layers of glass into tiles and pendants. I also use oxygen and propane torches to create unique and fun glass items. My biggest problem is finding places to store and fire my kilns. Right now, I have two kilns in a bathroom shower. It has been great to be able to bring my kilns and other workshop items across the border and to continue to work with them while living in Alamos. Of course, Senor brought all of his tools, too. So, the small living spaces of our casa look like one big workshop! You can see everything we have been doing by following the blog.

On December 7, 2009, we had quite the windstorm pick up in our little town of San Felipe. Sand was blown about for a few hours, and sharp gusts blew through the bay.

Hola Velia, I was happy to see your note regarding Señor Buchsbaum. Can you give me an idea how big his shop is? I just want to know if I'd have to wait or if I'd need an appointment. I'm restoring an older car and I want quality. Jim
