I worked in the real estate industry in western Canada for more than 30 years, owning my own offices most of the time, and started the Kootenay Real Estate MLS system in 1975. My wife and I came down to the La Paz area in January of 2002 for a 3 1/2 week vacation. At the end of our holiday, we went back to Canada and spent the next 9 months selling our home, clearing up jobs and business matters and came down to live semi-permanently that November. We have never looked back or regretted our decision. Semi-permanently grew to full-time, buying property and, in 2007, to going back to work in real estate again. I work out of Vista Properties in El Centenario, and have helped many people find their particular vision of the Baja lifestyle.
