I' ve been traveling Mexico for over 28 yrs. I had surf shop in Tecoman for 10 years and helped open Philos Bar in La Cruz(outside of PV) My wife and I are from California. We just moved from Michoacan after 4yrs with our RV park and are now settling in La Cruz We really enjoy living here in Mexico.
Do you have any websites for your business or websites you wouldlike to refer someone to?
Sandy, Di and I are looking to stay in that area, just checking out campgrounds at this time. Will let you know when and where we will be staying once we have figured it out. Good to hear from you. All the best.
Thanks. I respect your information, it is appreciated. Yes parts of our state can be dangerous. you may recall last year there was some violence in Morelia.. ( four Mexicans were killed.) This year on the 30th of September, after great consideration, the parade in honour of Morelos took place. Nothing happened. Of course parts of the country near the border are having problems. I read two Spanish language papers daily. Too much violence, BUT it tends to be cartel against cartel. Of course, it is picked up by the U.S. media and frightens the hell out of people damaging our tourist market.
A lady in Vallarta also lives in Manhattan. She has written, " In Vallarta I go out to dinner and arrrive back home some times after ten p.m. In Manhattan, I am of the street by 7 p.m."
Caition everywhere, Vancouver, Detroit, L.A. and Mexico..
Hope you can open next year and the Global fiscal problems will have passed.
John
That is really too bad. We were in your area in June. There was a blockade by the Nuathal. BUT IT WAS ONLY TEMPORARY.
Spent ten days at Manzanillo, Caleto de Campo and Zihuatanejo. NO PROBLEMS at all. We live in Uruapan. As we tell people, it is a turf war. Mexcans shooting other Mexicans. ( Yes two Canadians were shot in Vallarta. They WERE NOT tourists, but involved in drug market.. Made a mistake and paid the price. One of the Canadians was carrying a weapon. He did not get it out fast enough.)
John
Going through and found this. Isn't Michoacan a gerat place to live? ( In spite of all of the media negativity.) Should you come to Uruapan, please let me know

Hi Sandy and Cynthia
Damn- so sorry to hear about the trouble in the area. Didn't realize that some of that crap is spilling over or that close to you. Thank goodness everything is tranquillo in Manzanillo. Anything we can help you with just ask. I gather that your conversations with Glen Martinez also went sideways at this time.

Hi Samdy
I am not sure if your email I have is working, as I send a couple quick notes and did not here back from you. One was pretaining whether you may have any updates from the in laws.
HI Sandy, Welcome to Bucerias. I'm so sorry to hear about having to leave your RV Park due to the instability of your area. I hope that you will enjoy Bucerias. There is a wonderful community to get involved with if you are interested. My understanding is that things are very slow there right now, but that seems to be the case every where. BEST of LUCK in your upcoming endeavors!
One of the most important religious holidays in Mexico is dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec. 12th. The celebrations actually start 46 days before Dec 12th with the praying of Rosaries each day.

Hola Velia,
I was happy to see your note regarding Señor Buchsbaum. Can you give me an idea how big his shop is? I just want to know if I'd have to wait or if I'd need an appointment. I'm restoring an older car and I want quality.
