My husband and I visited Mexico in Dec 2011. Rented a car and was mobile from the time we left the Cancun airport. Drove to Chichen Itza and stayed for three days, stayed at Barceló Maya for a week, and then Soliman Bay for a week. All along being mobile and going anywhere we wanted when we wanted. The both of us said "We can do this". Such stigma with living in Mexico. People at home are crazy. Just as safe or more safe here than it is in the US.

Obviously we fell in love with the place because we talked about and decided in August of 2012 that we were going to make the move. We bought a brand new trailer, sold a lot of things, gave a ton of things away and packed what we had left to our names and in November 2012 headed out on our long journey to our new home. It was an adventure to say the least. Driving 2700 miles is not a small feat by any means!! But we made and love this place called "Paradise".

I have stopped smoking since moving here, and gained some pounds due to the delectable food that I have discovered. Picked up reading and love it. My grown children at home decided that their mom needed to get with it, so they bought me a Nook. :)

My husband works very long, hard days from home. He is the reason that we are fortunate and are able to live here in this beautiful place we now call home. So that leaves me with too much idle time on my hands. Looking for something that I can volunteer for our be involved in within the community. Would love to one day be able to property manage some properties, which is what I did back in the states or start a business of my own.

We are appr 1/2 mile in the jungle side and are looking to relocate to the beach side. We are looking for a 2Br, 2Ba home to rent. Must have strong internet signal as my husband needs that for his business. Love the home that we are currently in with the exception that we have a small pond in each room when it rains. Top and lower floor. Just looking for a clean, dry place to call our new home. We are very clean people, and would not want to live in anything that is less desirable. Would like to stay in the general area. We hope that we can find something. We are entertaining the idea of moving to Costa Rica if we can not find a place that suits our needs.

If you were the one that rented to us, I can assure you that we would take care of your home as if it were our own. We have made a few improvements to the home that we are in that the owner himself said "My home has not looked this nice ever, even when I lived there". That made me smile. We were very happy that he took to time to tell the neighbors what he thought of how well the home looked in his eyes.
