Sunshine in Lake Chapala, and lots of it!

Just read that in Seattle (I'm from Washington state) that they've now had 41 consecutive days without a sunny day. Read and weep:

Meanwhile, here at Lake Chapala, Mexico (just south of the Guadalajara International Airport) we've had 191 consecutive days…

Lake Chapala: The #1 Place to Live and Retire in Mexico

I'm always singing the praises of living in the Lake Chapala / Ajijic area of Mexico, but I could be biased, especially being a real estate professional here. So, I really like it when an objective article comes out!

Hola Thomas - I notice your post that the Int'l Tequila Conference is to be held this month but their website states next April...please confirm. I represent two separate groups who wish to export tequila to India & China and I need to get a major supply sent in tanker containers...any suggestions which tequila companies I should contact?

Hola Tom, Thanks for add-on to your friend list. I have been in Ajijic during rainy season in Sept.a few years back. it was great, clean and fresh and full of life. Lost power a couple of times but that just added to the adventure. Been told by several year round residents that it is their favorite time of the year. I concur.

Capital Gains Tax when you sell your home in Mexico? In the Lake Chapala region you can get an exemption once every 5 must prove that the home is your primary residence (by providing 6 months of electric or phone bills in your name). You should consult with a notario before you list your home to ensure that you are eligible for the exemption.
