Hurricane Rick has been downgraded to a tropical storm now, thank goodness! We'll probably get some wind and heavy rain, but we should be fine. We can already see a rough ocean and high waves though! Going to walk down by the beach in the morning an…
Looks like we are in the path to get some bad weather from this (in Mazatlán)! Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't make that sharp turn as predicted!
Hi Sandy, my husband and I live in Mazatlán and love every minute of it! I would say you can live modestly on that amount in either Maz or Lake Chapala, but unlike some ads will tell you, you can't "live like a king on $1,000 a month" any more. Rent…
One of the best things about Mazatlán is that you can have quiet and peace--or not! We lived in rural North Carolina, where we had to drive 30 miles if we wanted to spend the evening out with friends, so I told my husband Rick that I wanted to be in…
I wouldn't live any place else in the world! I have the BEST friends here, our neighbors are terrific, and the scenery is wonderful. I could never afford to live where I can walk to the beach in the states!
All right Deborah, pretty soon all of us will start chiming in that OUR hometown is undoubtably the best place in Mexico to live. Well, all the rest of them will be WRONG, because I already know that Mazatlán is the best! lol
Seriously, I love my n…
Hi Victoria, we are still in Austin, TX and hoping to go to Teacapan ASAP. We are finally getting some rain and cool weather. We about burnt up this summer and the lake (Lake Travis) is 37% full. Pretty sad. I know its hot in Mazatlan, but I think this year Austin topped it. Can't wait to get back to get our Mexico fix.
Welcome to Mazatlán. My wife and I have lived here for 6 years and love our new city. I am working, building/remodeling and selling Boardwalk Residences and find this city exciting and invigorating. OK and a little warm in the summer, but hey, nowhere is perfect. Where did you move from and what part of town are you living in?
Welcome Victoria, my husband, Tony and I live in Teacapan, MX which is about 90 miles south of Mazatlan. We are currently in Austn, TX and divide our time half and half. My husband has done construction all his life, many water treatment plants, convention centers, hospitals, even construcion in Mexico. Again, welcome. Char/Tony Bunch
Last Saturday was my birthday and my friend and I set out on an adventure. No, I won’t tell you where, because it’s supposed to be the new last undiscovered paradise. And if I blog it, it won’t be undiscovered anymore and I won’t be able to afford m…
Thanks for posting, and you're absolutely right about Ceneval (the exam discussed in the original blog) needing to take us into consideration and also about the lack of training. I wish we had a mandatory exam, which would go something like this...Q…
Excellent article Carol. A couple of comments.. About licensingYES state licensing is the only way to go A while back a licensing law for B.C.S. was drafted and translated. ( Paid for by the two AMPI Sections.) It went to the state government and di…
