"I know what you mean about feeling "untied!" We moved from a small town in North Carolina, and while the rural setting was beautiful, we had to drive two towns over just to go to the movies! When we talked about moving here, I told my…"
"Hi Laurel! We'll be delighted to have you back in Mazatlan! We have a great group of people here, and really enjoy each other's company...and there's always room for one more!
I've never been to SMA, when I started reading about…"
"Hurricane Rick has been downgraded to a tropical storm now, thank goodness! We'll probably get some wind and heavy rain, but we should be fine. We can already see a rough ocean and high waves though! Going to walk down by the beach in the…"
"Hi Victoria, we are still in Austin, TX and hoping to go to Teacapan ASAP. We are finally getting some rain and cool weather. We about burnt up this summer and the lake (Lake Travis) is 37% full. Pretty sad. I know its hot in Mazatlan, but I think…"
"Are you about ready to return to Mexico? Cooler weather has not arrived in Mazatlán yet, but the humidity has decreased ever so slightly, and the end of the long hot summer has got to be just around the corner!"
"Hi Sandy, my husband and I live in Mazatlán and love every minute of it! I would say you can live modestly on that amount in either Maz or Lake Chapala, but unlike some ads will tell you, you can't "live like a king on $1,000 a…"
"One of the best things about Mazatlán is that you can have quiet and peace--or not! We lived in rural North Carolina, where we had to drive 30 miles if we wanted to spend the evening out with friends, so I told my husband Rick that I wanted…"
"I wouldn't live any place else in the world! I have the BEST friends here, our neighbors are terrific, and the scenery is wonderful. I could never afford to live where I can walk to the beach in the states!"
"All right Deborah, pretty soon all of us will start chiming in that OUR hometown is undoubtably the best place in Mexico to live. Well, all the rest of them will be WRONG, because I already know that Mazatlán is the best! lol

Hi Victoria, it looks like you have done well since leaving NC. Have you found even one negative thing to say about Mazatlan?... where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy all day.... that's a Mazatlan song right? My family just surprised me with an over-the-top surprise 60th birthday party at City Lake Park. The surprise was that I'm 60 f'ing years old!... So, in my new bucket is a notion that I should jump on those tricked out buses with the braceros leaving Greensboro for points south. It is as much about the journey as the destination...(...Grasshopper!) Inspired by your and Rick's actions., Mazatlan is one of the places I'd like to adventure to. I hope to discuss the details with you.
Hi Victoria, we are still in Austin, TX and hoping to go to Teacapan ASAP. We are finally getting some rain and cool weather. We about burnt up this summer and the lake (Lake Travis) is 37% full. Pretty sad. I know its hot in Mazatlan, but I think this year Austin topped it. Can't wait to get back to get our Mexico fix.
Welcome to Mazatlán. My wife and I have lived here for 6 years and love our new city. I am working, building/remodeling and selling Boardwalk Residences and find this city exciting and invigorating. OK and a little warm in the summer, but hey, nowhere is perfect. Where did you move from and what part of town are you living in?
Welcome Victoria, my husband, Tony and I live in Teacapan, MX which is about 90 miles south of Mazatlan. We are currently in Austn, TX and divide our time half and half. My husband has done construction all his life, many water treatment plants, convention centers, hospitals, even construcion in Mexico. Again, welcome. Char/Tony Bunch
