CHANGES IN MEXICAN IMMIGRATION PRACTICES - JUST SAW THIS ON THE WEB!!

I swear just when I think I have something down pat- there they go and change it!

My husband's cousin , Javier Duenas Garcia, a GREAT guy was the regional head of Immigration here in the Guadalajara area for many years. It was great because I had someone I could get the real scoop as to the process, changes. But unfortunately, he did such a great job, that he moved up the bureaucratic ladder and now is in Mexico, tackling new challenges! He computarized the whole system here in Guadalajara… Continue

Are You Wasting Your Time With Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter?

Everywhere I turn, I hear about how fantastic social media is. People tell me they are spending six hours a day on Facebook. They are responding to Twitter tweets all day and all night.

Facebook's 350 million users collectively spend more than 8 billion minutes on the site each day. That's amazing.

Many of these people think that social media will help them grow their businesses. They expect to make tons of money by using Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn as marketing… Continue

they getting the workers from!? Penasco was closer to Phoenix and Tucson than it was to Hermosillo or any other major Mexican city. Here in Guadalajara, with a population of 6 million we have…

Monarch Butterfly Santuaries In Michoacan Mexico

Last week's disaster in Michoacan's Monarch butterfly region continues to be a concern for Mexico and the entire world. At first glance it appears that the Monarchs weather the storms much better than the people did. Mexico is continuing their relief efforts but help from the outside is still needed and being accepted. Unfortunately more rain is expected this weekend. The Monarch santuaries at Chincua and Cerro Pelon are open at this time. The sanctuary at El Rosario is closed as the road is… Continue

Mexico requiring passports from Canadians

Canadian citizens have been able to visit the country with just a birth certificate plus photo ID, but that is changing as Mexico "aligns its entry requirements to the rest of North America," said Alfonso Sumano, the Mexico Tourism Board's regional director for Canada.
