Living in Los Cabos: Whale Watching
We went whale-watching last week with friends; we were lucky enough to find one who seemed to enjoy being the center of attention. Whale-watching is one of my favorite things to do in Cabo. The whales are here from roughly December to March. The tours are quite reasonable, and although they can’t guarantee you’ll see a whale it is almost impossible not to have a great time. If you go, please use one of the professional charters who will…

Living in Los Cabos: 2012 in Real Estate, Year End Report
At the end of each year I send out a summary of the real estate activity to my clients, neighbors and friends who generally want to keep an eye on our market. In recent years their most pressing question has been ‘is it finally turning around?’ This year I think they’re going to like the answer. The year 2012 was good for real estate in Los Cabos. I believe the indicators show that yes, although we still have a lot of…

Living in Los Cabos: Safety Again
Amazingly, people are still asking if it’s safe to come to Cabo. So I thought one way to answer that would be to look at today’s news. I get two sources of local news: one is a very accurate news blog; the other is the headlines from the local TV station sent as a digest every morning. So let’s see what stories I read with my morning coffee today…
The news blog, Colectivo Pericú, is done by a group of independent journalists…

Living in Los Cabos: Are you a Caboholic?
Hi. My name is Carol and I am a Caboholic. The addiction is pretty strong, so much so that my fellow Caboholic wrote a song about it. Which of course spawned a Caboholic Support Hour program on LiveCabo Radio with many songs about Cabo. And one of the most popular and requested tracks in that hour is…

A Night at the Feria Playa del Carmen 2012 in Photos
The Feria Playa del Carmen 2012 was packed with people every day that it filled the Zocalo, Palacio Gobernal and part of the parking area for Wal-Mart on Avenida 30.
